Key won't turn

   Hi all,
   
   I have a 106 and my key will not turn in the ignition:/
   Any ideas as to the cause and resolution ?
   I have ordered a new ignition barrel for £122 matched to my key, but its gonna take 10-12 days. do you think this will resolve my issue ? I now have no transport untill i can fix this :'(

   see if you can remove the barrel , just the bit were the key goes in.

   how would i go about this ? i cannot remove the ignition without either
   a)turning the key to the 'A' position
   b)grinding off the pins on the bottom of the mechanism
   
   then how would i remove the tumbler ?

   is the steering lock on?

   yeah, but when turning the wheel to remove the pressure on the steering lock the key still will not turn !
