Important! : 40mm lowering springs

  1. #1
i recently bought lowering springs omp makes them and took them too the garage today to get them fitted and the guy said they have the same amount of coils as my standard 1s is this right ?? on the spring its self the code is OMP CI2085 FRONT 45/05 please help

It doesn't matter about the amount of coils mate , take them back and tell him to fit them

I reckon the omp's will be progressively wound, standards wont. If theyre printed up as OMP lowering springs, they should be fine.

Those part numbers are listed as 40mm for a VTR/S, so maybe slightly less on yours.

yes mate they are about the same size but trust me they will lower when u put them on, the garage should know that

name and shame the garage man, haha!

Its going to look pretty shite if you only lower the front end.
  7. #7
thats what you get for using dead-head garage.com, as stated by boony, number of coils has sweet fa to do with ride height

as above a lowering sprin will have the same amout of coils something to do with the re-bound. but the could will be closer togeter so making it a shorter spring.

i would maybe consider dropping the rear atleast 30mm.you can tell when a saxo hasnt been dropped,i got mines done and i even find handling a little better when cornering.on prowl for some springs for front now
