heres another one of my nightly problems:
Just ran the VTR up to temperature after sealing the exhaust, so there is its running fine and everything and then it just cuts out. Turn ign. off and on, no priming of the fuel pump noise or anything... now ive had issues with the fuel pump not getting power so I think its up to its old tricks again so I duly bypass the fuel pump with some wire and a starter battery and the fuel pump is wirring away happily.
Come to start it and it just turns and turns but doesnt fire - now in the past when I used to do this it would fire up as soon as the fuel pump feed was bypassed and a 12v supply was introduced.
Could it be the immobiliser, crank sensor, coil pack? the key/ECU icon on the dash lights then goes out on cranking and there is another amber icon flashing that looks like a dripping mixer tap on the right right of the dash cluster warning lamps.
Im wondering if the fuel pump primed once and gave up and then the injectors were just draining the fuel rail so it ran for a couple of mins. For now i've unplugged the battery in the hope something may "reset" in the ecu.
Any advice would be great if anyones got any suggestions
