cutting out saxo

    Hi all. I was stuck in traffic with my mum driving in her saxo (2001 1.1 forte) and everytime we had to stop at lights the revs keep droping and trying to kill the engine. I have no idea whats wrong with it any suggestions? We have a very tight budget to fix it. I was thinking maybe new spark plugs?

    If it`s doing it with a warm engine then there`s a good chance it`s a faulty/worn out coil pack.

    sometimes a dodgy idle control valve can do that too

    It wasn't very warm as we drove into town fine (with no traffic) and parked for a few hours and then when we left within about 30 seconds of being stuck at the lights the revs started dying.
