oil cap / leak with pictures

    Ok this has been doing this since day 1 i got the car.
    After bending the metal lugs on the cap it still hasent cured it.
    Ive checked the bottom of the cap and the rubber is on.
    Seems to have got worse than it normally is.
    Would a new oil cap filler cure this or any other sollutions?

    For the price of a new oil cap it`s worth a go,somehow though(I may wrong)but that oil cap doesn`t look like the right 1 for your car.

    Cheers mate, had a look on ebay and the ones for the gti are same as what ive already got on now so pressume there the right ones.
    Bought one so will see if that cures it.

    Thats the one ive just bought mate.
    Will try that and if that still fails it must be doewn to the rocker cover been polished so will try a little silicone on the cap where the lungs are.

    Should be fine mate. I have polished rockers and one of the new style oil caps - hasn't leaked a drop.

    i got this one too, stopped my leak from the other style cap.
