judder - lose of power ?

    hi there , right just a quick question for my mate- right ive tried thinking what it could be and cant figure it out?
    hes got a 106gti and the problem is , he goes out to car to start it it runs fine for 1minute then will splutter lose power sounds like its about to die juddering along nearly stalling then after 2minutes of this the car goes back to normal and will run fine ? then if he turns it off and back on it still runs fine only seem like its when its started up from cold then lasts few minutes then goes back to normal ? just wondering if anyone could know what this problem could be ? thanks adam

    Could be map sensor as mine did this and map sensor was the problem

    how much 4 vts??? and was just wandering if anyone new how hard it would be to fix a cambelt valve as i think it has slipped outta time?? thanks in advance p.s my saxo is 1.1

    thanks dude they hard to fit / change ? as he not the type to do it himself lol, il give him a hand to do if its easier enough ? but one thing is where bouts is the map censor lol ? thanks

    thanks dude is there anyway of checking if one of them is the problem ? or would it need to get a diagnostic test ?

    Not sure mate, had same prob and it was my crank sensor can pick replacements up for 10-15 pound

    ahh cool, il have alook on hes car and try give them a little clean with carb cleaner- see if that does anything- if sorts it a little then must be one so il replace both cheers mate

    right i cleaned the map sensor and no luck hes car was still having the same problem, but i remember from reading a thread a little while ago a coolent temperature sensor can also make a car run dodgy, i had one laying around so i changed it over with hes car, and now the problem has gone for now anyway , its weird how a sensor that has something to do with the temperature of the car can make it run like crap , either that or the problem has just fixed its self for the time being lol

    Coolant temp sensor
    Tps
    Map sensor
    Cleaned tb
    Plugs
    Coilpack
    Icv


    Still there
