   what was the squealing noise when you got to 3-4k revs? checked for air leak?
   tried compression or injectors? iv got a misfire on my 1.4 and its driving me nuts

   aye. i remember my GT-Four having this sound right before the bottom fell out of it.
   
   Didn't want to say like as i hope it isnt, but it does sound like a misfire if you listen when the revs go up.
   
   best thing to do is pour some oil in the cams when its running and see if the sound muffles then you know its the oil pump no reaching the cams.

   I thought it was the bottom end too, sounded exactly like my mates mrs Rallye when hers was like that.
