quick querie insurance?

    hi people right im abit confused atm as ive got my car up for sale, and i currently rang my insurance up through chris knott asking ''if'' i was to go and cancel my insurance with you what would i have to do ? the lady said all you got to do is it too write a letter to say you want to cancel immediately or put down a date and sign it it from me along with the insurance certificate, and that was it i told her i didnt wanna just yet just wanted info to what i had to do,
    but i got a letter from them today saying i need to send my certificate urgently to for the request to cancel my insurance, and now im left wondering if they have cancelled my insurance or not ? need to use car later but i dont wana get done for no insurance for the 2nd time- already got 6points over a mis understanding through insurance , will they just cancell it or do they need my signiture to achually cancel it ? thanks peeps

    ps i did try ringing them today but they was closed :'(

    Then don`t use your car until absolutely sure if you have insurance.

    yeah i know might leave it- i just went on the askmid website which tells you if the cars has insurance or not and it comes up with its on the insurance database, just dont know if it gets updated every hour or so or just everyweek, any one know if that website is acurate or not ?


    YES W*** *** IS showing as insured on the Motor Insurance Database today.

    insurance database isnt updated instantly, can take up to a week for any insurance changes to register on the database

    if chriss knott has personnaly said that they require your signature and and a sign letter, then you will still be insured, also insurance cant be cancelled as quick as you think, the administration takes roughly a week.
