Loom problem 1.4 VTS to 1.6 16v conversion

Hello,

Last week i have build a 1.6 16V in to my 1.4 VTS with the 1.6 loom etc. connected it and got it working after the fuel return wasnt blocked by a screw anymore

.
But because i have been told if i had a 3-plugs ecu with the 1.4 and the 1.6, the loom of the 1.6 could just be connected to the interior connector (big round connector in the engine bay).

Well i found out that this is not true, nothing works on my dash because of it..
I have rebuild a xsi loom to a gti loom etc. in the past but it was time consuming because of the soldering shrinking tube cable protection sleeve etc.

But before i am going to compare and modify the 1.6 loom to the 1.4 loom, i was wondering if there is more info on this forum like pin-outs or something?
I can find a lot of things about the electric system but nowhere can i find the output of that big round connector!?
I have tried the search but nothing comes up so if it is here i would realy like to know it

I still get so confused when people say the 1.4 is the VTS then realise that the VTS is the 1.4 on the continent

Pretty sure mate the looms need to be spliced

Yes, we have a 1.4 vts.
Well today i measured the wires, it is possible to change to contacts to the right position only not for the Reverse light and the alternator pin (i guess to switch it on) because they have big contacts and need to be in a small contact position.

It can be soldered on to a small contact if you have any left.

Next pins are of the round 36-pins connector on the engine loom! (there are pin numbers on the back of the connector).
