Fan Kicking in too much!!

Hi guys im new to this site (literally just registered) but i've been reading on here for a while. I can't seem to find anyone that has the same problem as me though!

I bought this VTR 03' plate around 2 weeks ago, in proper good nick. Got it home and went driving. Noticed that whenever im stationary for 2-3 minutes with the engine running that the fan will kick in to bring the temp. down. On the thermostat its reading just over halfway (as halfway is when the fan kicks in), but it just seemed a bit unnatural that the fan is kicking in every 2-3 minutes when stationary WITHOUT fail.. it just keeps doing it

Any ideas/advice?

My car is a 2000 VTR and it does exactly the same as yours.
I don't let it worry me, altho I bleive you could fit a different thermostat to maybe solve it.
It's not a big deal really.
Someone else might have a better solution for you...

Used to have it regularly.

Ever since I've drained, flushed, refilled and bled my own system until I'm happy, I don't get it nearly as much. Also all my cars will run well under half way temp during normal use.

my 03 runs just under half way on temp and as soon as it goes over fan kick in perfectly normal, and welcome to the brighton saxo owners
