Important! : Temperature Sensor ?

Hi i have a saxo vtr 52 reg 98bhp car and im having a problem with

    *radiator fan
    *temp sensor
    *thermostat housing

one of the above is causing me problems, my temp gauge is not working, i have replaced radiator fan and wired it into yellow fan connector, colour to colour like green to green, yellow to yellow, and pink to pink and earthed to chasis on other ring connector and blue cable to gray connector which connects to fuse box.

the gauge is reading bottom, flushed rad and bleeded it the best i can and still no reading my fan comes on for 3 seconds if i unplug and reconect the ecu temp sensor the one with 2 pins to it on top the other one i asume with one pin is the one that tells the guage what temp its at and thats what im stuck at because everything seems to be in its place.

change a sensor or have you done that all ready?
  3. #3
The blue sensor controls the gauge reading try changing that.(on thermostat housing)

well 10 pound can change thermostat and another 10er or even less radiator fan swich try them cost less than 20
  5. #5
the sensor ontop of thermostat is the fan switch on mine and the one below is for the gauge with 1 wire comin out of it

so just change both of them top and bottom ? and should work fine and if not what other options is there ?
  7. #7
change the one with the one wire coming out of the plug thats for the gauge, if that doesnt work i would say its either a problem with the wiring or the clocks

ok i will change clocks and change that sensor tomorrow and give an update anyone have a wireing diagram for tempriture sensor switch and fan wireing diagram ?
