#2Yes it's fine mate, probably better than the standard seat belt safety wise but not comfort really although I love wearing a harness haha
And personally it doesn't look great tbh - A set of buckets could be had for under £100 second hand -
#3it will look cunt!
are you sure you want to do it ?... im not convinced. -
#5its not really safe no actually
in an crash your weight will be put onto parts of the seat not designed to support it (ie headrest posts)
imagine in a crash the headrest comes off which can happen all of a sudden the harness can fall away from your shoulders and your only in a lap strap meaning you free to faceplant the steering wheel/dash or get slammed sideways into a door and generally flail about inside the car -
#6On standard saxo seats they look crap.
They look wayy better on the old skool recaro seats imo. -
#7How would that not happen with a normal seat belt? I can't picture what you mean?Quote:its not really safe no actually

#8TBF, you shouldnt need harnesses on your desire

#10Standard seatbelt doenst put all your weight on the headrest which can slide outQuote:How would that not happen with a normal seat belt? I can't picture what you mean?
The standard belt will still hold one shoulder unless you roll out of it a harness will hold neither once the headrest fails
There held in by plastic and designed for an impact of 10kg (your head) in a backwards direction not 13 stone pulling outwards on the rods
even buckets arent designed for loads around the harness holes but people dont set harnesses up correctly hence a lot have the plastic hole surrounds damaged when there for sale second hand -
#11Look shit.
Not what the seats or harnesses are designed for. -
#121. will look shit
2. it's a 1.1, save your money.
3. lol at all the idiots claiming that it's safe
4. fail your next MOT -
#13ok cheers ill just buy them while there cheap then keep them till i can afford better car/ seats
