This is what I have and it's brilliant, flares copper and steel lines, don't worry about a pipe bender as the copper pipe is very flexible, can all be bent by hand.

    Hi,

You should ask this in the forum so it can benefit others...

    But I'll also answer here,

The laser kit I linked to is good, it has flared many lines on my cars over the years.

I've never used flux or any other kind of lubricant/sealant when fitting the unions, as when you flare the pipe it creates a mushroom then when the union is tightened up it creates an airtight seal.

I don't know what size copper or unions I've used as I don't keep notes etc, but if you cut a bit of pipe off and take a union with you to a motor factors they can supply you with the matching pipe/union or if you've got a vernier calliper you can measure it yourself, expect to pay around £1/Metre for the copper and around £0.50 per union from a motor factors.

    Hope this helps.

Yes you can bend copper by hand, but you get a much neater job with a pipe pender.
