Clunking nosie (vts 16v)

Ive recently changed the cam belt on my vts a week ago , after coming back from a 1 hour ish drive, car was running fine no noise's at all then i left it for about 2 hours and on starting there was a very light clunking noise coming from what i think is the cam belt cover when running.

any guidance would be much appreciated

I had this once when i changed my engine and when i first started it up. On inspection it was the rubber holder for the wiring that goes to the alternator from the starter. as you look at your engine its at the bottom left on the side, if its knocked which u may have done when changing your cambelt you may have knocked the plastic holder for the wiring, and it fouls against the crankshaft pulley. At least it did with me. worth a shout and an easy fix. jus put it back in place if the holder is still in place, or cable tie it. Think theres a coolant pipe around the back that i tied it to. best way to get in to have a look is underneath really as its at the left side at the back of the block, not the front.
