Standard airbox

   What do people use to blank off the bottom hole on the airbox?

   think some1 has blocked mine off (only just got a vtr) why do they do this? and it looks like some kind of silicone stuff thats gone real hard, black in colour!

   They do it so they can improve the cold air feed to the airbox but the bottom hole has to be blanked off to do this if you don't its rather noisy . I have a few ideas what to block it off with now.

   You could take another piece from a scrap airbox cut to shape & then plastic weld it into place.

   as above silcone a peice of plastic over the hole, or even route a cold air feed to it

   Plastic weld or metal epoxy paste sounds like a suitable method

   I have got the black plastic top from bisto gravy tin fits fine lol
