MK1 VTR issues

i have a mk1 vtr (blacktop) and when i first start it up and its cold it has a power loss and is really sluggish then it will pick up above 3k but then you change gear and its sluggish again till 3k but when the engine warms up it pulls normally through out whole rev range

Normally have to wait for the Auto-choke to do its work before flooring it.
The fuel will be alot richer to get the engine upto its ideal working temp. So when you floor it, its not getting as much air as it would when its warm..

I tend to let mine idle for a couple of minutes in the morning, then keep it sub 2k revs for a while before planting it.

tried to take out spark plug no.1 and it wont come out it loosens so far then goes mega tight and i dont want to damage threads

got the plugs out and im going to change them also can the temperature sensors make any difference to the running of the engine because as soon as engine reaches normal operating temp it stops bogging down and runs smooth
