Ive just bought a c2 engined 106 GTI, ive had it on the rollers, and it gave good results, BUT... its in desperate need of a service, and im unsure what oil filter the car needs.
From what i see, the car's running the GTI/VTS oil cooling system (comes off a sandwich plate) and it has a spin on filter.
Everytime i search for a oil filter for the C2 VTS engine, i get a paper element filter back in the search, so im presuming that logicaly... it will be a normal 106 GTI oil filter that will fit on it?
Just asking before i end up ordering the wrong parts! im positive the oil filter on it just now is wrong and is far too big.
