So today my battery light has been coming on, before it came on I recently removed the front bumper and installed fogs, keep in mind they are not wired up just literally their for show at the moment, iv read in haynes manual or somewhere that you should disconnect the battery, dont no if this is right please let me no but i didnt disconnect it, so was driving around and it was on, after 3-5mins of driving the light goes off, I stop the car turn it of then on and its automatically on again, whats causing this? could I have messed something up because I didnt discontent the battery or what? .... cheers

just been reading up more about this, and power steering going hard, I do not have power steering and to remove the bumper I moved the steering wheel so the tyre was facing the other way so I could get to the screw, was this a bad idea, the car was off and just turned the steering wheel so I could get to the screw, is that wat caused this?

battery is dead, the PAS going hard (you probably can hear a whining sound coming from it) is a tell tale sign. On every pug/sax I had, I always upgraded the battery to 75 amps (get the same battery as you would for a 1.5d, slightly bigger but fits) and it does wonders. The regular 45 amps battery is slightly not enough.
