Rear beam and torsion bars.

   Basically my mate has fucked his rear beam on his 1.1 he said...garage said the torsion bars are fucked completely and the beam is warping.
   
   Does he have to replace the whole rear beam? how much are they to get repaired and how much is a reconditioned one usually?

   Torsion bars are fucked? Beam is warping? I would deffo take it to another garage for a second opinion from some one who has a clue.
   
   More than likely just play in the rear axle stub pins.
   
   If it does need a new one then a re-con is your best bet around £375 or a second hand one but you take the risk of that going the same way any time.

   Thts what i said to him. the guy that said it is his uncle thought and knows what he's on about..but there's something not right about him and his work recently..
   
   Yeah i said to him a second hand one might not be the best idea but ive seen a couple for £100-£150...so if the first is shite then if he got another second hand one it'd work out about the same price..
