Throttle Bodies Inlet whats what?

Right ok with throttle bodies you have the chadil/sandy&colin straight style inlet and then you have the downdraught style gmc do.

With these two style of inlet whats the benefits / drawbacks of each one?

I've always been told straight is better. Something to do with air velocity and being online with the inlet ports.

Horses for courses, the at ones were designed to give the best flow to the valve, but were designed out of the car hence the angle being straight at the brake bar.

Most prefer other set ups because of the ability to run longer trumpets/inlet tract and tune the inlet/exhaust lengths to get the nest out of the spec they can.

I think he is meaning an 8v engine .
bent or straight the difference is very small .
the only way you will get a good length of trumpet in a saxo with 8v is downdraft --thats why we did it ,also allows you to have a duct from bonnet .
we did also have a straight manifold ,but to get same length + torque we needed to cut the bulkhead in the ax to get suitable trumpets .
if using t/b,s then it doesn,t matter what way up they are
