saxo overheating ne help?

    right i no theres links on this but tried. my new vts is hitting the red after 10 mins, it had a new rad on there so tried bleeding, ive put the fan on the battery to run on the ignition but still wont cool, ive bought a new thermostat, and thermostat housing and even a waterpump but is there anything i should try? i have only done 5 miles in it and keen to drive

    possible that the headgasket is away with it

    There could be a blockage in the cooling system which is stopping the coolant circulating.Try putting a radiator flush into the coolant then refill with fresh coolant & bleed.Also check your rad hoses for leaks.

    head seems fine no water in oil etc, tried bleeding it and couldnt get a good flow through from the bleed point to the right off the engine but was getting lots of steam and just little spirts of water, im taking it to the garage on monday just dont need a expensive bill

    As said must be a blockage somewhere within the system, try flushing it yourself first.
    Saves the garage doing it, because they will just want to replace everything.

    My mate had a similar problem but not on a Citroen, changed his pressure cap and stopped the problem. See if a mate has one you can swap over with the same rating. See what happens
