saxo 1.1 exhuast note

    hi all now i have a 2000 1.1 and i want it to sound like a 1.1

    currently it has a loud note from the exhaust when revved above 2500 rpm

    i have had a look at the exhaust as i thought it was blowing due to the noise its not overly loud but it is stupidly irritating when sat on the motorway at 65 +


    the exhaust looks to be standard with the cat still in place and also a standard air filter

    is this a normal sound on these or has some thing broke or did some one play with it

    sounds to me like it has no cat? and/or a different backbox.

    should be under the car on that year i believe? (cat)

    Can you get a video up of it on tick over and you ever so slowly increasing the rev's ?

    I suspect its the cat too, i took mine out on my other car, it kept rattling around.

    well it looks like the cat is still in place as the pipe work looks oem
