I have one also come in handy!
Will save you so much money in years to come instead of paying someone £30-£50 to plug there's in each time you get a fault!

Thank you. That's exactly why I wanted one
Would a citroen specific one be any better than just the universal ones?

    obd2 doesn't work with Mk1's/single plugs

You need a Lexia 3 diagnostics reader, which is pug-cit specific - it's more expensive than the bog standard obd readers at around £70+ but will work on any pug-cit and give more information to you than you get with the obd generic readers.

So only the lexia 3 model will work will a one plug ecu.
Do you no where I could get one for £70?
Will the ones off eBay be genuine copy? Anyone bought a lexia 3 off eBay?

The genuine ones are about £1000

The cheapo ones (which do work and are Chinese-y) will be around the £70 mark.

I'm just quoting a price around the time I was looking which was a few years ago - so prices may well have increased.

Make sure it comes with the 'Peugeot Planet' software too - you need that in order for the Lexia 3 to communicate properly.

    Cheers,

got lexia 3, use it near enough daily, only a cheap copy, not the genuine psa one, works on all citroens and most pugs, displays live data etc which 99% of code readers won't do

Just out of curiosity as i know bugger all about this bit of kit , when it reads a fault what comes up on the display ? doe's it say something simple like power steering pump or a load of numbers and letters jumbled together to confuse you ? lol .

Depends on the software used but for Lexia it usually says 'Fuel Pressure is crap' or words to that effect.
