Saxo 1.1 Wont Start - Immobiliser light flashing

   Over weekend brought my daughter a 10 year old Saxo Desire 1.1, was starting / running perfectly until this morning. Put key in ignition and dashboard Immobiliser lights starts flashing after about 15 secounds the Immobiliser light goes out.
   
   Turnt the key expecting to hear the engine kick into life, but nothing happened at all.
   
   Just tried again and the dashboard Immobiliser lights is constantly flashing (does not go out), so can not start the car at all now.
   
   Any advice apprciated.

   try disconnecting the battery for an hour or so not guaranteeing that wiol work but worth a try. failing that you will need to take it to someone that can sort the code out for you

   yeah same happened with my desire it wouldnt start and so I disconnected the batter for an hour or so (while I fitted new cd player anyway) and then when I went to check my cd player was working it started up fine so Id give that a try before anything else .

   Just to advise had to get an Auto Electric company to have a look, diagnostics indicated the start motor was fault, so have had a new one installed. Touching wood all looking OK now

   Have had this problem more times than I can remember and always solved but disconnecting the battery. Hope this was not the case as it would be gutting to fork out good money for that.
