Temperature gauge dials

    Are there differences between mk1 VTR and 106 rallye/xsi ones?
    Reason being my VTR sits just under 3/4s on the gauge but doesnt over heat - it seems that the gauge displays as it should but only higher up on the scale instead of around the normal mark. The engine is a TU5J2 from an xsi 1.6

    Worth a compression check when hot? I dont believe i'm losing any coolant with this. Its had new temperature sensors, new vts rad, new water pump, new coolant bled with the header tank method.
