when on idle it sometimes feels like the revs go up and down slightly but doesnt register on the speedo. could this be timing belt or what? thanks
idle problem

#2Give the ICV a clean?
-
#3would show on the dials though if it was icv wouldnt it?
-
#5Coil pack, spark plugs, fuel filter
Anyone of those, mine does it and my coil pack is knackered -
#6unless the icv is playing up but at the same time the throttle position sensor (TPS) is playing up too. that way the icv is idling wrong now and again but the TPS isnt registering it
-
#7Wouldn't register on the speedo as the car isn't going anywhere (would on the rev counter however), cleaning your ICV is a good start but theres many other things that can cause this:
MAF Sensor
Temp Sensor (Green One)
To name a few -
#8Sorry should have read it better, clean the ICV as the first port of call, then my money would be on the temp sensor
-
#9i meant rev counter sorry and will try all of these
thanks
