Indicator cuts out the radio...Help?

Just realised I posted in the wrong area before, apologies guys

    Anyways

    New comer here, Hi.

Today I wired up some parcel shelf 6 x 9 ' s, everything was good and okay.

Then I wired in a new headunit, everything appeared to be fine.

When I drove off I found that when the indicator was pushed up or down, it cut the radio out, and the indicator lights do not come on.

The hazards still work however so it is not a bulb fault

Also when disconnecting head unit, indicators still dont work

    Any help?

Anyone at all? Kinda important cos obviously no indicators is quite illegal.

Vehicle is a 1.4 vtr if it helps at all

No other mods yet, just the audio features I mentioned

It could have been a earth wire wrong check the stereo wiring and check fuse box for indicators not working

Checked the indicator fuse, the 12 one, brown top left fuse. When intake the headunit out, the indicator still fails, so is there possibly a short out when the indicator is on?

Have u fully disconnected the stereo

Yes, if I fully remove the stereo, the indicators still do not work.

When I put the stereo back in, when the indicator is activated, the radio cuts out.

have you got water in the lights? (I know it sounds stupid)

Ive seen this on a 407 before.. only when there was water in the lights after it had been raining for a few days.. no water, it stopped
