hi mate , the person selling said there was no wiper motor etc , i thought there must be atleast a couple of wires from the heated screen , motor etc already inside ! ..

No you use the wires from your saxo for the heated screen it`s all on the wiring loom they just push into the spade connectors either side of the screen. With the wiper motor it`s easy to swap over or just leave it & put a grommet in the hole.

cheers steve for that , i just assumed it was like the doors the loom connects via that black connector , now i understand the wires just go through that black rubber thingy at the top of the tailgate , just pull them out of the tailgate and reconnect when i put the new one back on .

Yeah couple things to watch out for though.

Check that the copper strips on the screen haven't been rubbed off, if they have the heated screen won't work or will partially work. They will look yellow (iirc) if they have been scratched.

Check the rear jet wash as there are cunts to get out and can easily bend the area around while trying to get them out.

Seeing as it comes with no wiper and motor, you will need to use yours if you want a rear wiper and if you haven't taken it off before it will probably be seized on. Don't worry a bit of wd40 to loosen it up might work, if not more wd40 and a wiper removal tool is needed.

I just used one of these tho, worked fine.

cheers mate for that yes the copper strips are soldered onto the screen if i remember rightly , if they are buggered it means taking the screen out again to re do them , i'll make sure the rear windscreen wash is intact to when finding a new tailgate , thank for the info
