saxo vts good/bad thing?

hi there ive owned my saxo vts for a while now and just wanted to see what you guys think about this....

the car pulls well in every gear but seems to really put the power down when it gets to about 4k revs. The car has had a few owners and was partly modified when i brought it the lad i got it off didnt seem to no a thing about cars so he couldnt tell me any history of the car.

could this mean cams have been put in or somthing else that isnt visually obvious

also should i take it for a rolling road to see whats going on?

    any suggestions

    cheers

That sounds normal to me for std cams.

It's just my mates vts pulled away at low reeves then mine just flew past no problem

if you got no history then get the cambelt changed.

They're really peaky engines as standard, if yours was cammed you'd definitely know about it! The power delivery you described is exactly the same as mine with just breathing mods so I wouldn't worry too much!

    Get some pictures up!

Power is up the rev range. That's normal. The engine needs revving hard to make it sing.

Kicks in around 3.5-4k as you say.
