...as the side to side play in my gearstick is down to the arm sliding in and out and rotating slightly as well. Got the pin out and arm off to find that its the spindle the arm sits on that goes into the box that's moving! So the roll pin was fine really and there's play inside the box somewhere! Turns it from an easy cheap job into a massive potentially expensive one that I can't be arsed with, thoroughly annoyed now I don't think I'm ever gonna get this gearstick feeling normal!
