put a bulb in the otherside for the fog light. You only need one, and the other side will be capable of having a fog light, will have to cut a peice of plastic out though blanking off the connection.

probs checked already and could be a silly question but have you checked the fuse?
  4. #4
yeah I've checked the fuse and it was fine, and i tried putting the bulb in the other side but it didn't work, should it? the front ones work fine though! ill try the other side again in the morning but has anyone else got any ideas?

Front fogs have their own circuit.

If you still dont have a clue, just for the MOT get an external fog light, bolt it on and wire it up to a switch just for the MOT.

Are external ones hard to fit? oh didn't know they were on a different circuit lol on the same switch basically so i thought they'd be connected! I'm going to properly trace the wire tomorrow and clean the earths again but surely if the earth was bad the whole cluster wouldn't work?

Well they have a separate circuit but use the same fuse etc. So sound slike a problem after that. or coming away from that.

yeah i may just cut the wire completely and run a new one, may just be the easier option? then connect it all up? really annoying saying that's all i failed on with no advisory :\ lol

Yep its annoying. My car failed on a numberplate lightbulb being dim and literally nothing else yesterday!

literally bolt on. run a wire from the battery to a switch then a wire from the switch through a fuse and to the light. Then another to an earthing point.

MOT testers take the piss sometimes! do you have any clue how i can get to the switch on the stalk? or shall i just quickly take the connectors off my amp's switch and run that to the fog? tbh that may be easier
  11. #11
HA, yeh use the amp wires then switch your fogs on by switching your stereo on

lol ive decided tomorrow im running my spare remote wire from my battery to a switch then ill splice it in to my bloody revere light and if that dont work ill just cry... wont even bother hiding the cable because ill take it straight out after it passes and re connect the faulty wire untill next year! lol thanks for the idea mate!
