My power steering pump has packed up on my 03 plate Vts.

How much do you reckon I could pick up a second hand one for?

And does any Saxo electric power steering pump fit my Vts??

Ie. Mk1 or mk2 or a Vtr one?

    Cheers

deffinatly not the fuse yeahh? (my ony knowledge on the fuse problem - no heaters or demisters aswell - is on a mk1)

I picked my pump up on my old saxo for £30 in amazingg! conditon. And my ex paid for it (only car part i ever got out of her!)

It depends if your anygood with cars aswell mate - if your cack handed with tools and need to pay someone for labour you could be looking at sillyness.

It's defiantly not the fuse. Ith kept coming and going weeks ago but I've been driving around for months without power steering now and have pretty much had enough lol.

    Im pretty good with cars.

I had the old pump off and tried to take it apart to blow the dust out as people on here said you could do that. But I could get it apart so gave up.

So £30 and some fluid obviously you reckon mate?

But the thing is you never see vts's or 106 gti's in scrappys round here so will a Vtr one fit or any other???

Cheers for that mate. Going to check the local scrap yards tomorrow first.

Can some one just simply answer wether any Saxo electric pump fits a mk2 Vts???? Lol

Any saxo pump will fit and work, I think the pipe connectors on the later pump are slightly different from the earlier seperate reservoir ones,
but they all fit and work the same no matter what model
if you get one from a 106 its likely the fitting bracket is different but that is an easy change.
I have mk2 ones here but I dont give them away like some, £65 posted

the pumps are the same, just the brackets are different depending on the model. i.e: all furio pumps have the same brackets, and all vtr/vts have the same brackets.

i bought my 1st one from a scrappy for £30 and was fucked a few months later. so bought a reconditioned one for about £120 and had it well over a year now

I just got one from a local scrappy for £45 with a 30 day guarantee .

Was easy to fit but now I'm turning to sharply because I'm used to no power steering lol
