fuel gauge jammed on vts

   Hi i my fuel gauge was fine it went down to near empty just above mine goes dry half way between white area. Anyway was down top top of white shaded area i filled up tenner as mate bought it. It didnt move I thought maybe was lower than thought but seam to be stuck when i filled it last at.
   
   Also all dials including temp etc drop to bottom upton turning off. This fuel one dont just stuck there all time/jammed, I know more is in there for sure.
   
   Any ideas what it may be please can let me know as it dangerous having no fuel gauge what an awful fault

   You can try take dash out put it on where it sits with the car off and try that.

   I dont get what you mean what take clocks out? put what on where what sits? do you or anyone know what it may be as couldnt see similar issues on forum was hoping would sort itself ha.

   I looked up another thread and disconnected battery and seams to of sorted it
   
   But now the indicators flash when turn it on must be an old alarm as the old one isnt connected, dunno how to stop it flashing now with ignition on it flashes for 20 secs no noise though
