been lookin for a VTR, saw one earlier, under 60k for 975, called the guy and it was gone.
you lot will know better than me about this stuff so i have a few questions..
could i get a vtr with under 60k for 1000pounds?
is it worth my while getting one with higher mileage?
do the cars need anything changing after a set amount of miles like timing belt, clutch, all that stuff?
    thanks very much

text the guy there. is 73000 okay for buyin and hoping for it to last me a year or two? advert reads :silver saxo vtr, 1.6 good condition inside and out! 11 months mot and 5 months tax. car has had done before mot! new battery, new clutch, timing belt, new front springs, discs and pads all round. tyres in good condition. passed through mot first time! car also has stainless steel exhaust! looking for either sale or swap! anything considered? try me! car is used daily so millage wont be exact!!

guy said needs to be more than 850... Bas***d haha! he said someones going to view it tonight so hope they hate it and i can negotiate lol

Dont go on miles go on condition. No point in a 30k car thats never seen a service to a 100k car thats never wanted for anything.

To be honest, I would never buy a saxo vtr / vts under 60k again. Pass 2 or so saxo's have been under and I have had to replace everything on them. Clutch kit, cambelt kit, waterpump, drive shafts.

I would be looking into sort of the 80k mark with service history to back up its already had this type of work done. It will save you so much money and you can just spend money on modding it the way you want instead of forking out on 60k service repairs.
