Important! : OMG wot have i done?

   hi guys need urgent help please. ASAP
   
   
   Right sold my car and went to deliver it today!
   
   Got up, cleaned my car including engine bay. Took all caps off including rad coolent cap to give good clean. Dont know how i did it but forgot to put it back on, not knowing this till had problems on motorway.
   
   Set off at 12pm to get there for 3pm lol got about about 5 miles on motor way and a big splash of coolent came out engine and steam every where. Car overheated big time very quick lost all coolent, I then let it cool down for an hour whist i thought wot to do. so when cool i drove to a services to get water and coolent. had some tools on me so was all good.
   
   I re filled the coolent system and bled it all properly though all three nipples. but as soon as you turn engine on and give it 1-2 mins coolent shooots out the top of the rad and fan dont kick in. Did this 4-5 times and still did the same.
   
   so i got rac to tow me home and i put the buyer back a week.
   
   Got it home and garge said you have fucked head gasket by running it with no coolent.
   
   I wasnt so convinced about this as i have only just had the head done.
   
   so my question is have i done damage. and wot?
   
   Have i cracked my head as i might be getting exhaust gasses in the coolent which is forcing it out rad lid.
   
   or is it just a really bad air lock?
   
   dont know wot to do. would it be easy to fit new engine or do i brake engine down bit by bit untill i fid fault.
   
   not sure wots happening. All help needed as need to get this car to him next weekend

   I would say either Water pump is knackered although I've never heard water pumps failing on Saxo's or head gasket is knackered.

   could be hg.
   what you getting instead of saxo dude?
   
   could be a massive airlock though.bleed again.
   
   let water piss out of all positions,espically one on thermo and back of engine area.
   check your spark plugs too, condition? are they wet?smell ?
   
   by shoots out the top, you mean it come out around cap yea?
   
   change your rad cap !!!

   yeah shoots out of red cap and i will get new cap. i will check sparks. wot am i looking for do they need to be wet. its fireing ok though.

   You can check oil cap for mayo coloured gunk, Stick your conk in your water bottle to see if it smells of fumes and check the back end for white smoke, also in my experience when a hg has gone the car runs like a 1 legged sloath. plus the heaters where constantly cold before it passed away.

   will cheack that to do. if i have cracked my head is it best to get a new engine rather than just a head. Also if i get it skimmed will i have to get bottem end skimmed to?
