Which gearbox?

   Hi, need a new gearbox for my saxo VTR, is it best to get one from ebay as there are some that are cheap (£70) or to get a reconditioned one which i heard would be between £300-£400 and if so does anyone know where to get one reconditioned? thanks.

   1.1 all day long, 5speed though, not 4!

   Does the 1.1 box really make that much difference on acceleration, and i heard they dnt last long in vtr/s

   been covered millions of time's yea they do have a noticeable difference. And they aren't as weak as people say. Mines been on 20k+ miles and 'driven hard' (like that gibbo?) and it's still perfect.

   vts is longer than 1.1, go 1.1!!

    Yerr vtr ones are good for the turbo saxo's. But as i already said and other people said 1.1 box, i need to replace mine grinds in 1st 2nd and starting to in 3rd

    i have my 1.1 box on my 16v and it really shifts mate. i get 30 in first, 60 in second, 85 in third, 105 in forth, and 120 flat out in fith. not a lot of top end but its rapid getting to it
