Headlight nuts? What are they called...

  1. #1
Right, Im sure people have at least one of these on the car and know its a hassle to have to use standard nuts because the Citroen ones that are attached to the car are rusty or keep spinning.

They are attached to the body work and they are almost like a split pin but they have a thread on them to screw your bolts into them for example the headlights.

Any idea where I can get these from? As I need to replace a few of them and my Citroen dealer never has any parts tbh.

I can't remember what these look like dude but the hole that they screw into - is it threaded at all? If so why not just buy some stainless M6(8) bolts from Screwfix and replace them all.

If there's no thread at all I really wouldn't know where to start other than Citroen themselves.

Oooh ok, you get these with speakers etc but on a smaller scale.

Take one into halfords bud or failing that just get some new nuts and bolts. Might even improve the appearance a bit

Not only that, in some places its very hard to even get a hand in to hold a nut in place.

Though if you manage it, with new shiny bolts they look nice

Captive nuts, good idea until the securing legs rust and allow it to spin.
Have to make sure you get the correct size and not just the thread part but the outside else you will end up fileing the holes out.
