saxo starting problem

   hey guys i got a problem with my saxo vtr its a 1999 1.6 8v it has come to starting when it wants sometimes it will start first time then other times it will take ages
   i have changed the plugs fuel pump relay lambda sensor still no good
   any ides will be great

   You`ve checked the obvious things like battery connections,earths etc?

   yep it has a new battery ive been told its the pump but i can here it pumping when th engine is running so im stumped lol
