probably works out cheaper if you buy a second hand one in the end, as long as you can fit it yourself.

I find IMAxles to be a rip off tbh...
For the prices they charge I'd rather chance another secondhand £100 beam from a low mileage Saxo off of here or at a scrapyard.
I have an axle specialist near me that refurbishes worn beams for £250 and that includes a free lowering as the beam will be in bits anyway.

A company called Safe Drive in Westbury.
They've got all sorts of tools to get seized beams out and refurbish worn beams.

Picking up a 2nd hand beam cant be to hard. Plenty on ebay as long as you give them a good check over for play etc its fine

My mate had his 306 done there for £290 (both sides), and for my Saxo it was £250 (both sides aswell). They used better bearings aswell, twice as many rollers or twice the width or both or something.

Yeah a mate of mine took his 205 axle in and had it done for a similar price, yet when i phone them up i get quoted between 300 and 450 ?? weird

    Hmm, that is pretty weird.
Maybe you spoke to a different bloke there that doesn't actually do the beams?

How are they a rip off? Theyre actually pretty cheap considering the labour and parts costs and the service they provide. Cant be that expensive if basically every single person advised to go there buys one.

I find it a rip off only because I can get it done locally for £150 less.

To others that don't have a company that does refurbishing axles near them will probably consider IMAxles to be fair pricing, I probably would aswell had I not known of the one I used.
