My girlfriends Ford KA has this problem as well, I don't think it's that expensive at all to get fixed.

Pretty sure that means it's a fucked beam..?

I'm sure if you change the bushes in time it saves the beam?

I thought this too.. I was under the impression that excessive movement of the bush wouldn't cause damage unless it stays as is for a long period of time, or deteriorates completely? I could be very wrong mind, I'm just going by what a friend told me.

Can you just not ask the MOTer what's required to put it right, then go to a reputable garage in your area and ask for their opinion aswell?

aren't the rubber bushes just the bits where the beam bolts to the boot floor?

bushes on a Ka, are a simple press in, press out job. drop the axle, change adn back up. sorted.

a saxo is different, as it doesnt use shock and spring.

easyest option is new axle. possible the cheapest too.
