Starter motor?

When i go to turn my car over it just ticks would this be the solenoid on the starter motor?

got it started and now its starting up find every time?, But it did do it once on friday morning but this morning it just wouldnt start just was ticking, but now its starting up fine.

I think the start motor might be on its way out anyone else think so?

Yep it's on it's way out. Putting in 4th gear and rocking (ignition off) sometimes takes it past the bad spot and you can start it.
Get a new or reconditioned one, scrappy starters are hit and miss and you may get one with the same problem.

Could this be anything else i before i sort out a new starter motor?

Check battery connections are good with no corrosion, i'd also check starter motor connections are all on properly and not loose or damaged, if you've got a multimeter check voltage of battery as well just to make sure its not that causing your problem

Ive got my mate coming round on tuesday to test the battery, So if the battery is ok will it be the starter motor?
