boot doesnt open

    about a year ago i smashed my back window by accident i had to get autoglass to put a new one in, but after waiting the 24 hours they told me before trying to open the boot, when i tried the boot didnt open.

    i was intending to travel back up on my gaurantee and have it sorted out, but i totally left it, then i crashed my car and didnt drive for like 9 months.

    ive had the car repaired now, but obviously the boot doesnt open, any ideas what could be doing this? and how i could maybe resolve the problem myself?

    if you climb into the boot, take off the big black pannel that goes across the back of the boot, once you've did this, you will see all the mechinism for the boot, pop the boot from there and see what the obstruction is
