gearbox problem

   hello im new on here
   got a saxo vtr back in june been fine but today my gearbox went weird
   it felt as though it was stuck and i could not get it into any of the gears. then i tried reverse and it grinded loads then went in and then felt like it was stuck again
   it comes and goes but its slowly getting worse
   any thoughts?

   you need a new gearbox mate also how does your clutch feel

   roughly how much could new gearbox cost?

   40-100 find a guy on here called vtracer hes breaking loads of vtrs at the mo

   saxo parts are cheap mate you need to get 100 posts or become a paid member to view the for sale thread but if you message vtracer he will sort you

   oh okay then. well its something that i need to get done proper quick coz i need my car for work. i was thinking just taking to a garage and leaving it there to be done lol. i know the peoples at garage so normally get a discount anyway so not too bad just never had this kind of problem before so didnt know what it could be

   if you can do it yourself then do it will be cheaper for you

   yeah i know but its time and effort that i dont have and cant be bothered to put in lol. just pay for convience lol coz i can leave it there while at work and just pick up when its done
