Battery Problems?

   To cut a long story short my car wouldn't start so i thought it was the starter motor or the battery, So got my mate to check my battery last night and that was the problem so he said he had a spare battery but wasn't charged so changed it enough to get the car going and which it started went for a drive for around 2 hours to charge it come to start it this morning and its totally dead, Would this be the battery as it wasnt fully charged and not used for a while or is it my alternator?

   Probally the battery it can damage cells leaving them un charged for a long time. Check the charge rate with a multimeter

   Well my mate that gave me the battery say's it has just been sat there so it could just be dead, Looks like im going to have to buy one!

   befor u buy new battery when ure car running check ure alternator to see if it putting 14volts out if it putting nothing out that your proplem

   try another battery or could be alternator
