The 266 setup is yeah, you'll notice a difference over standard brakes but without having to put bigger wheels on (long as you have 14's now), changing master cylinder is also an option

Yea still have the standard 14''s at the mo apart from the stopping power i love the look of brakes filling the space behind wheels

You don't 'need' to change the m/c with 283s
Personally I'd go for 266s as they weigh half the amount 283s do
