Removing manifold studs

   Was wondering whats the best way to get them out of the head, I would just have a go but thought i'd ask to see if anyone has a good method as I don't wana end up snapping one off in the head if i can help it! the reason I need them out is one or 2 of them have lost there thread and arent letting the bolts tighten up. I have 4 of them out already as they came out with the bolts so if I can get them all out i wana get some stainless bolts or something similar to replace them. thanks

   i used a socket mate and spanner but be very careful when doing it or they will round of! bite of oil as well should help!

   double nut method
   
   fit another nut on top , tighten against original nut then undo original nut, which will remove the stud

   as vtr-chris mentioned, also if you have access to a blow torch heat the area around the stud also.
