Alarm problems! Someone please help

I have gone to change the cd player from a kenwood to a Sony in my mk2 vtr. Now my alarm goes off every time I open a door, boot etc. Have managed to get it so it when I drive, it goes off for 30 seconds ish. Then stops? But it has been now and again just going off constantly whether engine is on or off. I have tried swapping cd players again etc but no luck. Believe it's just a manufacture Citroën alarm. Any help would be appreciated,
