Can you replace the hub without the bearing?

   I have recently replaced my wheel bearing in front offside leg, however, I think I possibly need a new hub, but I was wondering if this can be changed without effecting my new wheel bearing, as other wise thats just money down the drain

   Because my car I making an awful noise as though somethings catching on front offside wheel. It's like a loud catch on each revolution.of the wheel. My partner thinks that's it is maybe the hub that's bent causing the brake disc to be on a slight angle and catching on the pads. Im not sure. But the nose is awful!

   I've had a similar problem on a previous car of mine - I never got round to fixing it so would be interested to know what it is as well!

   but surely if the hub was bent it would be causing some pretty violent vibrations through the steering? whats the condition of the brakes like could have a warped disc maybe?

   hubs on saxos bend very easily, know several to be distorted and just make the noises described without any vibration

   Hmm well the noise was ridiculous before, but as I said I have replaced the bearing which was seized and have also replaced the calliper as the slider and piston had also seized. The noise disappeared for 2 days after this and now has just come back with vengeance!
   Its definatly not the pads or discs as they are brand new.
   Looks like im going to have to replace the hub then, im sick of putting money into this car to be honest

   Hey guys, well the sound has gone....it turned out that it was just the sliders that needed a little oil....works as good as new now Im actually enjoying driving again, the hub is stilll bent which causes my disc to move slightly, thats why I could hear the noise because the sliders were so dry that when the disc moved it made the awful noise.
   
   But I advice anyone that is having a problem like this to check the piston and sliders
