why did my car loose its memory over night?

  1. #1
when i started my car up this morning for work, all was normal, started fine etc. except the clock re-set during the night thought that was odd, but anyway carried on, and found all my radio channels had re set aswell.

why would the radio and my clock re set randomly over night? hasn't done this before, and hasn't done it since, and ive used my car several times today

not really a big issue, im more confused if anything

    thanks

    How old is your battery?

The cold could of effected it just enough for it to bug out quickly to reset things.

When a saxo gets to a certain age they start suffering from senial dementia so lose their memory.Back on topic though you may have a current drain somewhere causing the problem. An alternator on it`s way out can cause that.

right, a bit of an update:
went out this crisp morning, and it lost all the radio channels again, also the windows wouldnt open unless the car was on and the dash lights which usually turn on on the 2nd click of the key dimmed down and disappeared... alternator or battery?
