O2/Lambda Sensor

Hi, Im having quite a few problems right now! Im losing MPG, fast, it just seems to be using too much fuel, I know the list of things to cause this is huge, I've already checked the MAP sensor and thats fine if a little dirty, it suddenly popped into my head today that the problem could lie in the Lambda sensor, my MOT isnt til next month, but without an emissions test, how can i tell if its starting to break?

    Thanks

    Ben

I had the same problem with mine a few months back. Cost £90 for a bosche lamba to fix it and its ran alot better since. Another thing is, the coil pack. I had that earlier this year too. Saxo VTR did 120 miles on half a tank so probs 1/2 of what it should be doing! That was because the coil-pack was knackard and the engine mis-firing. If it isn't misfiring, you try the Lamba. BUT, if it is running OK, if it were me I would try to scrape it through to the MOT to save you paying for an emissions test...my VTR passed its MOT with a knackard Cat and a Lamba gone

You know it does feel a bit rough lately, earlier it was worse than it ever has been! So looks increasingly like the coil pack! Where is it on the 1.1? (Weirdly the 1.1 looks the same as a VTR under the hood (8v)) there must be a way to test voltages on it?

    Thanks for your help

    Found it, part number CU1081?

I found one on ebay from an ebay shop with very good feedback, so this could be the cause of wasted fuel?
